Dear Bill,
Actually, something has come up in terms
of unexpected costs. I just spent about $400 for extra copies of
textbooks to put on reserve in the library for students in my classes
who can't afford to buy the book themselves. I'm also spending about
$100 on photocopying for my larger-than-expected classes. I won't get
reimbursed for these costs. I could use an investment or loan of $500 to
get me going this semester. Do you think you can swing that?
